Kalbin yapısı: Kalp, dört bölmeden oluşan bir kas organdır. Sol ve sağ atriumlar (kulakçıklar) ile sol ve sağ ventriküller (karıncıklar) olmak üzere toplam dört odacıktan oluşur. Atriumlar, kanı kalbe taşıyan odacıklardır. Ventriküller ise kanı kalpten uzaklaştıran odacıklardır. Bu odacıklar arasındaki kapaklar, kanın geriye doğru akışını önler. Kalbin anatomik yapısı sayesinde kan akışı düzenli ve sürekli bir şekilde gerçekleşir.
